Overlay
What's new in the RaidCodex Overlay
Every update of the RaidCodex Overlay and what it changed, newest first. The overlay offers each new version itself; it is installed only when you click Update now.
How it works, line by line: RaidCodex Overlay guide.
Version 0.3.44
- Skill cooldown circles on every card: green when a skill is ready, a number for the turns left, a grey ⊘ when it is blocked. Switch them off under Labels → Show on labels → Skills.
- In the kill estimate line, a skill on cooldown shows the turns left instead of a cross, and a skill that cannot be chosen for another reason shows ⊘.
- Cards the overlay has not placed yet say “LOCATING…” instead of “PLACE ME”, since cards are placed automatically.
Version 0.3.43
- New RaidCodex logo in the app and in battle reports.
- The Chimera card no longer covers the turn count, and cards stay next to their champions and enemies when space is tight or the camera moves.
- Better kill estimates: Androc's A3 and Fyro's shield are calculated correctly, Teox is more often red when it really kills, and fewer “?” labels in Doom Tower (Agreth's spiderlings, Polymorph).
- Cards show extra Resistance and Accuracy from relic stones that the game keeps outside the stats, for example “+30 CC”.
- Shared battle reports now include diagnostic data (where labels were drawn and each hit's damage). The sharing box is unticked once after the update: tick it again if you want to keep sharing.
- A “What's new” link in the update window and next to the version line.
- Battle report fixes: damage hidden by a boss heal is counted, and a Polymorph ending is no longer a death.
Version 0.3.42
- Kill estimates for almost every champion, including Rare and Uncommon ones.
- More kinds of skills are estimated, such as team attacks and skills that check for control effects like Fear or Provoke.
- Fewer “?” labels caused by enemy passives that can't actually keep the target alive.
- Boss labels can show “—” when a skill's damage is far below the boss's remaining HP.
- Cards of defeated enemies now disappear.
- Labels stay over their champions in boss fights.
- Screen recording and streaming apps are no longer blocked from capturing the overlay.
- The Arrange labels button is gone: labels are placed automatically.
- Fixes in battle reports.
Version 0.3.41
- New optional box “Share my battle reports with RaidCodex” to help us find bugs (off by default).
- Kills are now counted when the game marks an enemy dead with a little HP left.
- Smaller recordings while RAID is minimised.
Version 0.3.40
- Enemy and boss labels no longer overlap each other (Grim Forest and other boss fights).
Version 0.3.39
- Update messages now show as soon as the overlay starts.
Version 0.3.38
- More accurate kill estimates: the damage model was checked against recorded hits.
- The first update delivered automatically: the overlay offers new versions itself.
- Optional setting to record every hit in battle recordings (off by default).
Version 0.3.37
- First release on raidcodex.com: download it from your account page and sign in with your RaidCodex account.
- The battle rules the overlay uses now come from our server after you sign in.
- From this version on, the overlay checks for new versions and updates itself when you click Update now.
