Relic
Preserved Aberration
Ability
Wearer will ignore 2% of a target's DEF for each [Poison] debuff on the target placed by the wearer.
The game's own text, ability level 1
RaidCodex explanationIgnore DEF
A battle effect, not a stat: it works in battle when its condition is met and never appears on the champion's stat screen. The relic's own three stats are different: they always count in the champion's stats.
Worked out from the kind of effect in the game's data (ChangeDefenceModifier); not tested in battle.
Ability by level
The ability gets stronger as the relic levels up: ability level 2 at relic level 6, then 9, 12, 15 and level 6 at relic level 18. Each row is the game's own line for that level.
| Ability level | Relic level | The game's line | Value at this level |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | As in the ability text | 2% |
| 2 | 6 | Ignore DEF +1% | 3% |
| 3 | 9 | Ignore DEF +1% | 4% |
| 4 | 12 | Ignore DEF +1% | 5% |
| 5 | 15 | Ignore DEF +1% | 6% |
| 6 | 18 | Ignore DEF +2% | 8% |
The values are worked out from the game's skill data and agree with every line of the game's text.
Stats
These stats count in the champion's stats: the game's stat screen lists them in its "Relic" column.

Every relic uses the same stat table: a stat's value depends only on the relic's level. Rarity decides the starting rank, not the numbers. Each relic has three stats: the first works from level 0, the second from level 9 and the third from level 15.
Gemstone sockets
This relic has 2 sockets. A Gemstone only fits a socket of the same shape:
There are 5 different shapes of Gemstone, and they can only be inserted into Sockets that are the same shape.
Rank and level
Epic Relic: starts at rank 2, which allows up to level 6. Each rank raises the maximum level by 3, up to rank 6 and level 18.
Ranking up a Relic allows to upgrade its Level further, increasing its stats and the strength of its Ability.
Relic Lore
Many are the hideous creations of Anathraad’s fleshmelders and terror-breeders. Teodor the Savant stole this hybrid monstrosity of scorpion, cockerel, and lizard from one – another prize for his collection of curios.
